Study Smart Series

1. Combating Procrastination (NEW) (WD1/16-17)

“You may delay, but time will not.” – Benjamin Franklin.

Have you ever planned to focus on your studies but you ended up engaging in trivial matters? Procrastination, the needless delay of things that one intended to do, is common among students. Despite your intention to work, you may wonder why you keep spending time on reading your friend’s blog, watering your plants, watching television programmes that you are not actually interested in, etc. While some students manage to minimize the negative effects of procrastination, some find it difficult to handle. If you always engage in procrastination, you may find it distressing as you may fail to achieve what you want.

At the end of the workshop, you will have:

  • Understood the possible reasons behind procrastination
  • Learned skills to combat against procrastination
