在成長過程中,難免會跌跌碰碰,經歷高低起伏。面對生活的煩惱和壓力,有時我們會感覺無從入手,無力感很重。當這些累積的壓力和情緒到了一個臨界點,有些人就有可能出現精神困擾,甚至萌生自殺的念頭。那麼有情緒困擾和自殺傾向的人會有什麼需要呢?作為家人、朋友,我們應該如何協助有自殺傾向的身邊人,陪伴他們走出情緒低谷呢?

工作坊內容:

  • 了解香港自殺的趨勢
  • 認識有自殺傾向的高危訊號
  • 學習如何處理自己的情緒困擾和幫助有自殺傾向的身邊人

Ups and downs are inevitable when growing up. Overwhelmed by hurdles and pressures, people may get emotionally distressed and feel helpless. Some people may be psychologically distraught and have suicidal tendency, when these negative emotions accumulate to a critical point. How can you help those people with emotional distress and suicidal tendency?

AT THE END OF THE SHARING, YOU WILL HAVE:

  • Learnt the suicide rates in Hong Kong
  • Learnt to identify high risks and suicidal signals among people with emotional distress
  • Acquired skills in dealing with people who have emotional distress/suicidal tendency

About the speaker:

Mr. Leon Yue is a registered social worker, Mental Health First Aid instructor and currently the Program Manager of Suicide Prevention Services (生命熱線). He holds fruitful experience in youth counselling and mental health education. The experienced mental health practitioner will teach you the right attitude and skills in helping others with suicidal risks.

 

Mental Health First Aid Training Course

精神健康急救是為精神健康面臨危機的人士,在未獲得專業協助前,提供適時支援。若您想幫助可能有精神困擾或已陷入精神健康危機的身邊人,您可以透過精神健康急救課程去了解更多。

Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) is the help given to someone who is developing or experiencing a mental health crisis before he or she can obtain professional treatment.

If you would like to help your peers who are developing a mental health problem or in a mental health crisis, you can prepare yourself through enrolling in a MHFA training course.

Upon completion of this 12-hour training course, YOU WILL HAVE LEARNT:

  • 5 MHFA Action Plans
  • Basic knowledge about mental health problems & strategies to manage related crisis situations
  • Counselling services & other support on campus

A certificate recognized by the Mental Health Association of Hong Kong will be awarded to participants with FULL attendance.
