University life is full of excitement, but also fraught with uncertainties and challenges. Throughout the course of your study, you will taste success, experience setbacks and at times get struck by confusion and disappointment. Perhaps you have been told repeatedly that “staying positive” is the key, yet you find yourself being drowned by despair?
Our emotional experience comprises of all kinds of feelings, and it is fine to feel bad sometimes. In fact, they are useful information for deepening your self-understanding, the foundation for self-acceptance and personal enhancement. In this semester, CEDARS – Counselling and Person Enrichment Section (CEDARS – CoPE) offers an interesting workshop series to help you get connected with your inner-self for regaining calmness and managing emotions effectively. In addition, workshops that address your needs in academic, social and career development are available to help maximize your chance of living a successful and well-balanced university life.
