In this 45-minute workshop, you will learn basic balloon twisting skills and how to combine multiple balloons to create your balloon gifts (e.g., animals, flowers or characters) for your friends and yourself in a relaxing and small class setting.

Pastel Nagomi Art is a form of healing art founded in Japan in 2003. It is an approachable and heart-touching art that uses fingers to create different techniques. The word “Nagomi” has a meaning of harmonious in Japanese, which symbolises the aim of the founder in creating a peaceful social environment and promoting self-care.

In the workshop, you will be taught with skills to create your ceramic coaster with pastel. It is totally fine to join even if you have no drawing experience. Throughout the drawing process, you will be able to create your own piece of artwork and relieve your stress!

Guided Forest Bathing is the practice of spending time in nature for the purpose of enhancing health, wellness and happiness. In this session, you will be led by a trained guide through a series of invitations that slow you down, awaken your senses, and support you in building a deep, healing connection with nature in a variety of natural settings, such as: country parks, urban parks or other green spaces. It is gentle and accessible to almost anyone at any fitness level.

Guided Forest Bathing provides you the opportunity for self-reflection, supports you to gain better understanding of yourself and your relationship with others.

At the end of the session, YOU WILL:

  • Learn authentic sharing and deep listening
  • Enhance your self-confidence and self-awareness
  • Develop empathy and self-care

About the trainer:
Ms. Amanda Yik is the founder of Shinrin Yoku Hong Kong, an award-winning and most experienced bilingual Certified Forest Therapy Guide in Hong Kong, the first Asia-based Trainer with the Association of Nature and Forest Therapy Guides and Programs in the US, as well as an ICF Certified Professional Coach in Transformation. She advocates for incorporating nature time as a preventative and complementary healthcare intervention, and is deeply passionate about promoting regenerative behavioural change that will promote holistic wellbeing for both people and planet.

Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) is the help given to someone who is developing or experiencing a mental health crisis before he or she can obtain professional treatment.

If you would like to help your peers who are developing a mental health problem or in a mental health crisis, you can prepare yourself through enrolling in a MHFA training course.

Upon completion of this 12-hour training course, YOU WILL HAVE LEARNT:

  • 5 MHFA Action Plans
  • Basic knowledge about mental health problems & strategies to manage related crisis situations
  • Counselling services & other support on campus

A certificate recognized by the Mental Health Association of Hong Kong will be awarded to participants with FULL attendance.
