1. Workshop on Time Management (TMW1/17-18)

Good time management skills enable you to manage your workload more skillfully and productively which are beneficial for both physical and mental wellness.

In this workshop, you will learn more about time management skills in general, and more importantly, your difficulties in executing or applying these skills in real life. You will learn some strategies to better overcome these obstacles.

At the end of the workshop, you will

  • learn about general skills / considerations in scheduling your tasks
  • gain insight about your own best plan
  • acquire behavioral and cognitive strategies to tackle your difficulties in executing or maintaining your plan

2. Understanding Your Learning Style and Related Learning Strategies (ULS1/17-18) NEW

Are you a visual, auditory or kinesthetic learner? Do you know what learning strategies better match with your learning habit? Have you used any learning aid to assist your study?

People vary in their ways of information acquisition and learning. In this workshop, a self-checking assessment will be provided to help you understand your learning habit. Tips that improve learning efficiency of respective learning style will be shared. A software with features that accommodate different types of learner, particularly in note-taking and revision, will also be introduced and demonstrated.

At the end of the workshop, you will have:

  • identified your major learning style
  • known the features and challenges of different learning styles
  • acquired some tips on learning strategies that suit your learning style
  • understood the usage and operation of an assistive software that aids note-taking and revision

*Please bring along your personal laptop if you would like to have a trial of the software
