Stress Management

JC Webinar – Managing Study Stress and Anxiety (JCW3/23-24)

University life can be full of new challenges and experiences. Some of these are exciting, some others can leave us feeling stressed. Not surprisingly, study is the major source of stress among university students. Managing increased schoolwork, striving for better academic performance, handling unexpected disappointment, or anticipation of graduation can be stressful. Right amount of stress can motivate us to achieve our goals; yet, too much of it can induce anxiety and impair our well-being.

By the end of the webinar, you will:

  • Understand the relationship between study stress and anxiety
  • Learn how to recognise signs of overwhelming study stress and its short-term and long-term effects on psychological well-being
  • Acquire some evidence-based psychological strategies (e.g., mindfulness and relaxation skills) to cope with study stress and anxiety
