Mindfulness Exercises for Well-being
The Road to Better Sleep (Session 1: | Session 2: )
Core-Stretch-Relax Workshop (CSR2/20-21)
We sit all day long for lectures, tutorials, working on assignments and browsing social media. The sedentary lifestyle may cause stiff neck, back pain and even psychological issues.
Join this Core-Stretch-Relax Workshop to break this unhealthy pattern! Core-Stretch-Relax allows us to engage and stretch muscles that are related to our posture. The workshop begins by activating and strengthening our muscles with mobility and targeted core exercises. It is followed by stretch exercises that target muscle fatigue associated with prolonged sitting during studying to relieve stress and tension.
At the end of the workshop, YOU WILL HAVE:
- learned core exercises for activating and strengthening body muscles
- practiced stretch exercises for reducing muscle fatigue and relieving stress

Mindfulness Exercises for Wellbeing
“Mindfulness is the awareness that arises from paying attention on purpose, in the present moment non-judgmentally in the service of self-understanding, wisdom, and compassion.” – Jon Kabat-Zinn
Mindfulness can be described as being completely awake and present, moment by moment to what is happening within us and around us. It allows us to stay calm and make sane choices in face of daily stresses.
At the end of the workshop, YOU WILL HAVE:
- experienced basic mindfulness practices
- enhanced your awareness of the present
- learnt to take better care of yourself
